V-day is finally over!!! Yesterday in school, the only word that I can think of to describe it was: Quiet. While perhaps some people don't go to school on Wednesdays, I guess that some were having fun outside with their loved ones or preparing to have 'fun' at night. Afterall, birth rates are higher (not expectedly) at the end of the year, which means November and December. GO FIGURE! Whatever it is, I hope people use protection else they could incur the wrath of this.
Anyway I went to cut hair at Heatwave yesterday and had a pleasant surprise. 2+ years ago (or was it 3???) I was introduced to Chapter 2 for haircuts by Clement. My cutter at that time was Jaslyn (although Chapter 2 spelt it as "Jeslyn") for about 1/2 a year or more. Enjoy her services at cutting hair. Then she suddenly disappeared, probably due to a change of workplace. Yesterday, we looked at each other, both thinking "this person very familiar leh.....". Then both of us recalled! It's a small world. Fate brings you all the way around the world and sometimes you end up where you began eventually. Pst...for those who have yet to cut their hair in preparation for the upcoming CNY, Heatwave is still charging 21 bucks, no increase in price until the last day.
Actually come to think of it, town wasn't that crowded yesterday. Is the problem not with the couples not being around, or could it be that the singles didn't feel like going out yesterday to see all the lovey-dovey couples holdhands/hug/kiss/whatever? But still, another good thing about yesterday was that Chinatown wasn't that crowded as usual during that part of the year. (Not so crowded meant that you could have ample walking space without being squashed like a sugar cane in a sugar can machine!)
Didn't manage to grab a proper sleep last night. Probably due to the leg pain from walking too much yesterday in boots. Off to schoool.................
